Well those Amish sure do know how to build a good fire, Just ask any whitch that they burned at the stake.
I have a smoker that was built in Pa. and 10 pounds of seasoned oak will burn for 12 hours.
it has a snorkel that injects below fire air and just keeps the logs glowing, plenty of smoke, looks like an old steam engine thru the stack.
spent the day today cleaning it getting ready to do a whole hog for Thanksgiving.
