It would cause tiling and packet loss, other than the DVR's I don't think it effected the equipment. It was more on the older style F-81's (wall plates, ground blocks) and splitters that couldn't handle the constant voltage. Since we switched to a high isolation splitter and made it part of the tech's requirements to upgrade all of the connection points to 1 gig compatible, the voltage is not an issue any longer.
