Not trying to sound cruel or anything, but your about to retire and only make 12,000.00 /year? Sounds like you should rethink your career choice, I made more than 12k/year when I was 16 years old.
And I could be wrong, but I think you are exaggerating just a bit.
Just doing a little math here, minimum wage is 8.25/hour, working 40 hours a week, that would be over $15k/year gross.
Either A: You are not working full time
B: You are not being completely honest in your post
Or C: You are just lazy.
