But the United States is not in the lead on getting rid of chemical weapons, Russia is. The same people that have been selling/giving Syria the weapons and technology in the first place. Now if you pay attention to what has happened in the past few days Russia is calling the shots and Putin is telling the US what it should be doing and how it should be doing it. Putin just had a whole article in the New York Times this morning slamming the US. But then you being a fellow traveler you most likely agree with everything Putin said.
