They will never be able to fix Detroit until they get rid of the democrats that have been running the place since 1957. Detroit is a prime example of what happens when the government tries to be all things to all people. They have tried every social program and government give a way that has ever been thought of and between that and the corruption the democrats have bankrupted the city.
As far as the roads and bridges go Obama was given billions of tax dollars (stimulus) to be put to work on shovel ready jobs and it all went to pay off his campaign contributers. Remember Obama laughing and saying "I guess the shovel ready jobs weren't so shovel ready."
This whole Syria thing is just Obama trying to get back some street cred because Assad called his bluff. If it was Assad, there are those that say Al Qaeda did it to get the US to do just what Obama is trying to do.
Why would you want to get in between two of your enemies who are fighting each other to the death? There have been over one million people killed in Syria since this war started and Obama hasn't done a thing. There were 1400 killed by gas and now he's rattling his saber. Why didn't he do anything for the other 999600 people?
Why not let the two enemies fight it out and kill each other an send humanitarian aid for the people. With any luck we would have one less enemy to face over there sooner or later.
