built in forward Eq and on the reverse (5-42 Mhz) it has a attenuator slot to help contain reverse noise. the coax design should tell you what attenuator to put in it and forward Eq setting
they use these on feeder runs that are streched way out and usually accompanied with a self terminating tap. see more of these on 860 Mhz or 1 Ghz hfc systems.
