cre8 is right, its not more of a way of generating profit, it is more of a way to avoid losing money.  Since your techs are W2, you can't really charge them back for failed work, or even roll any charges you get to them, so you would have to factor in those charges into your pay scale.

One way is to utilize your QC tech and multitask them, I usually have a Lead tech, that is responsible for doing field level supervisory functions, and doing QC is built into that function.  They can also be utilzed to assit in office duties, such as warehouse, training, and paperwork. This way, instead of having 3 people doing 3 seperate jobs, you have one person, able to do 3 jobs.
