Re: Has Anyone Read This?

The key words in that statement are "The administration has the final authority on all matters relating to the dress code". The dress code is a written code of rules for a school district. In the case of Tinker vs. Des Moines Independent Community School District, The Supreme Court ruled that absent a material, substantial disruption of school operations, the students have a protected right to wear what they want as long as it doesn't go against the dress code. There was nothing in their dress code regarding this kids tee shirt. There was no disruption of school operations. The teachers judgment was flawed and was only an attemt to reinforce her political beliefs at the expense of this students rights.
