Show a gun, a picture of a gun, to most people, they will associate it with violence.
Please tell me what the purpose of a gun is? Is it to do anything other than harm another object? Rather it be a hunting rifle, hand gun, or a BB Gun, its design, is to inflict harm and violence. No matter what your argument is, a guns intended purpose is to inflict violence on an object no matter what the object is, could be a wall, a target, bottle, can, deer, bear, human, tree, no matter what the object is, the sole purpose of a gun is a violent outcome. You can not argue this point, and if you try, you are simply showing how little regard you give to anything other than yourself.
Here is an example, a 3 year old finds a gun, has never seen or held a gun before, he has no idea what it is, he is not violent, he is a 3 year old child. That 3 year old child points that gun at you, not knowing what it can do, are you going to laugh, or are you going to move and try to get that gun out of the hands of a child as fast as you can?
If your answer is to move and get the gun away from the child, then you have proven my point, that guns, by nature and intentions, are violent.
