We have three cable providers in Pinellas (Bright House Networks, Wide Open West and Verizon Fios) and there are multiple installation contractors, as you would imagine. There's competition between Verizon and Bright House/Comcast in 5 other Bay area counties (Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Polk and Sarasota). Lots of work with various pay rates.
