Most men would have just answered "to provide for my family because it's my responsibility" without all the boasting, but we can go with your answer. Now where did your work come from, and what is expected of you in order for you to provide for your loved ones? And to answer your question. Yes I can still climb, but after 35 years I don't have to anymore. In 35 years on poles I have never had a pole buddy. I've had lineman on the same pole as me when it was a two man job, but never a buddy. Back then you could get your strap lagged to the pole or a big "two turtles fucking" if you called another lineman a "pole buddy". I guess times have changed. Maybe you should place an add for "pole buddy". I'm sure you will get a few replies.
