I will give to you from a corp to corp contractor for Mastec. They are not a good company to work for, they pay you almost nothing to do an install. Your pay is four weeks out and you get paid on the 5th week. There are strenuous charge backs that Mastec creates in order to stay deep in you pockets. Mastec is a multi-million dollar company, yet they still pay their subs by check, once you receive your check the bank will put it on hold because they do not bank with a known bank, but I think it has changed. If you want all the bells and whistles and guaranteed work sure they would be good to work for, if they played fair. But if you want to do a four room install and not clear $100.00 then thats the place for you, also if you want to go on a service call and the job is trashed and get paid $25.00 to fix it and donate your time, cable and gas then thats the place for you. Also if you want to go on a service call, solve the problem and get a failed qc on a service call even though you did not do the initial install and be charge back for the whole job, then this is the place for you. Anything affiliated with Directv I have went away from, I have made a lot of money in other Markets where mastec is not, I moved to Atlanta 7 years ago and this is a Mastec Market I refused to work for them. The only reason I dealt with mastec because they bought out Halsted Communication is New York and I was already in t deep with Halsted. Mastec sold me a dream and it became my worst nightmare. JUST BE CAREFUL NOT BITTER I JUST MOVED ON TO BETTER THINGS AND I DONT WANT TO SEE PEOPLE ROBBED OR SET BACK WITH THE WAY THIS ECONOMY IS.
