First, great site, lots of useful info here!
I run a couple of small rural systems. I have been researching the gear and came across the Calan 3010h and 3010r. All the info I've found here has been very positive so I'm thinking this is a good setup to get started with. This will be an educational experience for sure, I understand the concepts but have never swept anything but a floor.
My questions! Have there been any game changing advancements in recent years that would make these older units a bad choice?
Any known reliability issues? Have they been dying off in droves lately?
Assuming the above checks out ok, are there any gotcha's I need to look out for with the equipment? Also, what options would be recommended? I would like to have forward sweep, return sweep and return ingress capabilities.
