For some reason I feel you are going to mention a talking snake. So lets clear that up before you do. The Hebrew word for snake or serpent is nachash, the word used in the Bible is ha-nachash which means the shiny one. In Genesis 3:1 it says "Now the serpent (ha-nachash) was more subtile than any beast of the field. That would make him shiny or desireable and subtile in decieving those who wish to not obey God. Not a snake. If you wish to seek then define what is in Gods word, then you can see that there is something or someone that is subtile, shiny and desireable, who wishes to use the desires of this world to decieve. If you are wondering why God would allow this to happen, I may be able to answer that with another question. How do you seperate the chaff from the wheat?
