+ To add a small detail:
As posted the 10,001 GVR is the magic number for scales.
IT IS the 26,000 GVR that requires a CDL B so there is a whole world of drivers who must maintain a medical card but do not need the CDL class B.
AND the CDL B or above with the HAZ MAT endorsement requires some kind of background check.
ALSO coming to a town near you there is a 100 mi ring around the country where you can expect US Customs, TSA and ICE to climb on your rig.
