If you have to get your parents’ permission to go on a field trip or take an aspirin in school, but not to get an abortion ... you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots. So you would let the school take your kids anywhere at anytime with out knowing where they are? You would also want kids bringing any type of drug to school, with the ability to give that drug to their friends? Believe it or not, aspirin is a drug.
If the only school curriculum allowed to explain how we got here is evolution, but the government stops a $15 million construction project to keep a rare spider from evolving to extinction ... you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots. Schools are to teach science, not theology, religion has no place in schools, religion really has no place in society, its a cult based on deceit, spread by lies, and corrupted by power. Mankind has caused the extinction of enough life on this planet, why should we destroy a life, just to make our life easier.

I actually agree with you on this one, you should have to show valid ID to vote, but the timing of this law has to be well before an election, in order to allow ample time to obtain such ID.
If the government wants to ban stable, law-abiding citizens from owning gun magazines with more than ten rounds, but gives 20 F-16 fighter jets to the crazy new leaders in Egypt ... you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots. Last time I checked, Egypt was not an enemy of the USA, but an ally. If you need more than 10 rounds to hit a target, you probably shouldn't own a gun in the first place, you are a danger to yourself, and society.
If, in the largest city, you can buy two 16-ounce sodas, but not a 24-ounce soda because 24-ounces of a sugary drink might make you fat ... you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots. I agree here, Mayor of New York is an idiot, and is overstepping his role.
If an 80-year-old woman can be stripped searched by the TSA but a woman in a hijab is only subject to having her neck and head searched ... you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots. I've never heard of this incident, I don't think you can blame the entire TSA for this if it happened, but the responsible party should have been terminated.

If a seven year old boy can be thrown out of school for saying his teacher’s "cute," but hosting a sexual exploration or diversity class in grade school is perfectly acceptable ... you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots. Again, never heard of this, Sex Education classes have been held in Public schools for as long as I can remember, usually around the 6th grade. Better to learn in a class, than to learn on the internet.

If hard work and success are met with higher taxes and more government intrusion, while not working is rewarded with EBT cards, WIC checks, Medicaid, subsidized housing and free cell phones ... you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots. These programs are designed for limited assistance to needy families, I would estimate to guess most people on these programs are working to better themselves, are their some that take advantage of it? Sure there are. I'd be willing to bet there are an equal amount of both parties that take advantage of these programs, its not perfect, but what you prefer, letting kids be homeless and die of starvation? What if you fell into this area and needed to feed your family if you fell on hard times, would you let your family starve, or be homeless?
If the government's plan for getting people back to work is to incentivize NOT working with 99 weeks of unemployment checks and no requirement to prove they applied but can’t find work ... you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots. I'll point you to my comment above.
If being stripped of the ability to defend yourself makes you more "safe" according to the government ... you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots. No bills have been passed, or are in the floors of congress, to strip people of their rights of protection, no one is taking away your guns, those that keep repeating this, are the idiots.
Cut defense spending by 10% and you could easily fund these important programs, a country that spends more on defense than the next 13 countries COMBINED, is idiotic.
