Unions support all workers! So yes some good, some bad. But, that's what they get paid to do! I guarantee you can still get fired in today's environment!! It's not like it was 10 or even 5 years ago!! You better be doing your job!! Unions are now in decline and it is a hostile environment! I have been with AT&T for 36 years, seen it go from a country club to folks getting whacked ALL the time. I do my job, I'm where I'm supposed to be(GPS in trucks), work safely and do quality work and yes there is now PRODUCTIVITY numbers!! Low numbers and they will pull your time sheet and GPS records and they will find a code of conduct infraction to FIRE you on!!!! Even with a union it is now a tough world!
