Guys,
To the extent that an employer can avoid paying :
Social Security "contribution"
Workman's Compensation Insurance
General Liability Insurance
Retirement Benefits.
Overtime pay
Down time & seasonal workforce costs
Supervision & management costs
Vehicle overhead
By just buying finished piece work from contractors....that is what will happen.
Back charges and black balling those who object are just means of continuing to keep control of the most compliant workers. Likewise, lowering pay across the company is another way to see who will stay and work for less.
It really is a take it or leave it situation. Your loyalty is not asked for or valued.......someone who will work cheaper is always around. The missing answer is, after walking away...how will you pay your cable bill?
