Re: Air compressor

I've seen guys use a small gas powered air comp but not with much success. The missile will hammer but it just doesn't have the speed or force as it would with more cfm. We use an Airman 100SS for both our 2" and 3" missiles and they work fine. There is no replacement for more cfm but I've found that the Airman is a good compromise with the benefit of less noise and less fuel consumption. The smallest compressor I'd use would be one of the Vanair 70cfm models. Any smaller than that and you will really sacrifice the performance of the missile.
