The term "contractor" is used very lightly with charter and its super subs. You're more of a employee than anything else. You're required to show up at 7am, you have to be on call till 5pm even if you don't have work, and in the end you're just the fall guy for the main contract. You take all the back charges but don't forget to stay loyal to your employer/contract holder. It really is a sad state at charter at the moment and I hope someone figures out a way to get rid of the super sub BS and the manditory 48hr work week. As far as the black list crap, tbh you're probably better off finding another cable company with a respectable contract holder that will treat you what you think you're worth.
