Hey...Cops don't collect funds for others. You best bet is to contact your lawyer, let him find out what's going on. Might cost a little up front for the lawyer but better to know what is going on so you can sleep at nights
This is why you have written contracts, documentation and run a company as it should legally be run. This is just part of being in the business, you want to run with the big dogs then you got to act like them............screw everyone......Ha just kidding.
Cop's can not call you and make such statements, I'd call the chief and see if there is anything in regards such from his officers.
Hope it all works out for you...I wouldn't sweat the cops. Lesson's to be learnt !!!
