I had a guy that owned a very small company whom wanted me to
Run the operations end I.e. payroll, employees, contracts. This was such a small operation
It didnt need much other than 3 employees. It was more of a part time job
To me. I got 500 a week and the other part time empkoyee got 300 a week.
Make a long story short the owner insisted on my handling payroll and to be a sihner on the acct.
I refused but then I was given no choice
The owner played a hands off roll. I then after about 3 weeks started getting nickke and dimed to death by the employees
Of how they needed money f or rent but their account was over drawn and they needed cash and then I wo ukd get excuses they were out of gas. All this time I paid them cash about 50% of the time.
I then decided to back out of this mess because I moved and took a more full time job.
The owner is now pissed and wants me to pay back 350.00 he claims I owe. And he claims I took money from the company. I tried talking to hin but he wont answer. I tried speaking and settking this but he wont talk but he will spread rumors. I am willing to pay the 350 that I dont owe but I want him to talk.
Anyone ever face this before? Anyone have any advice?
Fyi I paid 100.00 out of good faith and they claim I deposited nothing. I showed my receipt
And no response.
