As bad as you might think it is...This is a free country...and coming from 18 years of cable TV experience and countless contractor conflicts: I must say...Let it go...the conflict is not worth it. If you can go and talk it through, with politics, over a beer...Then do it! Go get a beer and let it all go...If your workers put in their 8 or 10 hours...after that time, they can go and talk to whomever they want...If you feel, contracting their empolyees is beneath you then GOOD FOR YOU! You're right, and if a guy jumps ship, from you to them, or vice versa--he's not worth fighting for! 

Be ethical, and believe me, IT WILL PAY OFF IN THE LONG RUN!!! I've seen it a million times, it might take years...but sooner or later, you will get your respect and obtain a loyal group of workers. ALWAYS DO WHAT'S RIGHT--NO MATTER WHAT--and you will always find work in this industry.
