the problem with that mis if your a sub theres nothing saying they have to give you work. most managers dont wanna have to deal with it. so they will quit giving you work just to not go through the hastle. the managers in the sat companys dont really care what happens to the techs or what their reason is for any problem. they cant tell their manager what your excuse is wether its viable or not. i had a damge claim some yrs back it cost me a wks pay. even after ins. i found out aftre the fact and it took me another 2 wks to get the truth about the residence it was at. once i found out i went and talk customer. found out they had moved and the acctuall owner was there. they had taken copper pipes out so water was p0ouring out everywere but said i had damaged plumbing lines..  even with pictures i never got reimbursed. my lawyer went against theirs in the end i never got my money, my work load got dropped and i had to pay the lawyer.  keep in mind if your a sub, your on your own. take pictures of everything you do that attaches or penetrates the home or building.. never leave a job without covering your ass..
