The new version is simple to install but line of sight is key with a satellite.  Ohio has a ton of trees as well but always find a way to get it done.  I don't know how much overall time and experience you have which will determine how simple this is to grasp.  I guess if you have some sat experience along with some cable and understand basic computers you can do it.
If nothing else get an inclinometer to help with azimuth( side to side) and elevation for your line of sight placement.  Have installed both versions along with hughesnet and like the wildblue/exede product better.  The questions that you need to answer for yourself is how long till you get paid,what else can you charge for, how many jobs they expect you to handle, and territory/distance of travel.
