Back to ya. Calan sold off to HP then I think they in turn sold to Agilant, could be wrong. Sunrise has Calan now. Boat anchor you refer to must be the 1776, yes it was not fun hauling up a pole in the easement. Response was great on it. We refered to it as a "beer cooler". Calan came out with the 3010R, bigger than the 3st but very user friendly. Love the spectrum mode for ingress much better. Now that Sunrise has it, it too has a built in modem and a touch screen to boot. Checked one out at a cable circus(show) I went to, loved. Another feature always loved in Calan over others, was you could build the sweep table on the 3010H, take your meter in the field to any amp, node, and download the sweep table. Just my 2 cents again and if you can't tell, I lean very far to the Calan for a true sweep.
