Thats where I started in my cable career, My friend Mike got me into it...needed a summer job and kind of really liked it. I remember we had those pole spike attachments that would let us get up the first 10 feet of pole to hit the exposed rungs to get upto the tap. Not often did we need to break out a ladder in those areas except un the house to set a Rams Head to connect the drop. Damn those rams heads sucked with the nail spike in the middle....busted many fingers setting those.
