This school was under the same type of security that the school my son goes to utilizes. All of the doors in the school are locked, at all times, with a sensor that the school secretary has to buzz in anyone who wants to enter. This hardly allows parents or anyone else to wander the school. The kid who did the shooting at this school has a mother who was a teacher at this school. Since this kid has been at this school numerous times to visit his mother there was no way to know what evil he had in his mind. Besides that who would ever think for a second that a kid is going to come in the a school and start blazing his weapons. There is no way to blame the school for letting him enter a secure location to visit his mother. All of the talk here about and in congress about making gun control laws more strict is crap becuase like you said here we already have numerous drug control laws and they are even easier to get your hands on if you want them. All a law does is keep honest people honest, just like the locks on your car door, if a criminal wants in they get in botom line. If this country wants to fix the gun control laws, I say give everyone a state issued weapon when they get their drivers license and they add a gun safety course in along with drivers education. At least with this method when you are going to shoot at someone you have a good understanding that they are packing and will be returning fire. This may make people think twice about point a gun much less using it.
