Hey there my sphincterly challenged friend, you are the one who said "health insurance should not be based on your job, just like car insurance is not based on your job, yet it is mandated by the Government that you have it."
If you are self employed and use your own vehicle your rates are higher and if you have a separate vehicle used for work you pay a commercial rate and that is higher than the regular rate. Hell the insurance companies even use the distance you communte to work to figure out what your rate will be. They also take into account what kind of job you have, if your married, how many years of school you have had, what area of the country you live in.
As far as what the CEO's make, if you're incahrge of a 100 billion dollar company that employs thousands of people than why shouldn't you make million/s salaries? Perhaps the CEO's wouldn't think your job is worth the amount you make or are being paid.
Is it their fault you decided to take a different path that took you to a job that doesn't pay as much as theirs? You could have gone to school and done something else.
I don't know anyone that does not want to be paid as much as is possible or does not want to keep as much as possible of what they earned.
Are you going to sit there and say your happy to hand over more of the money you have earned to the government? If so go ahead why not write them a extra check this coming April too just for the hell of it. While you're doing your taxes why don't you just skip all the deductions you're allowd to take and pay the full amount owed on what you made.
