To disarm Americans would be a fatal mistake, there are to many gun owners in The United States and they will fight before they let theirselves become defenseless. I used to be an NRA member, but discontinued my membership. I get sick of them telling half truths about Government and gun control. Everytime anything comes up about banning assault weapons, not wanting lead in ammo or stricter purchase requirements for weapons they want to scream about the second amendment and how the Government wants to ban ALL weapons, just tell me the truth without trying to read something into everything, the American people are smart enough to develop their own conclusions without the NRA making false claims. John Mc3 as an individual has decided he will error on the side of caution by declaring to own one gun, others will decide on their own how they handle it. I won't support an organization that uses fear mongering to increase membership.
