You do realize that the republicans wanted to help the auto industry as much as the democrats, then after the bailout, the republicans lashed out against the administration.  Same thing with the work requirements for food stamps, republicans begged for the federal to exempt the work requirement and give it to the states to mandate, once he did, the republicans lashed out at the administration...
