The president can't interfear with unions? Are you serious? Who do you think Obama sold GM to? The UAW owns 49% of the company and the US government owns the other 51% I think that's interfering with unions.

Reagan stepped in and fired the Air traffic controllers when they went on strike. If that is not interfering with unions what is.

Hostess was trying to reorganize under chapter 11. Part of what they had to do was cut costs. They wanted a temporary 8% pay cut that was going to be given back to the employees over the next 5 years. The Bakers Union refused. Hostess was under deadlines set by the bankruptcy court and inturn set a 5PM deadline yesterday for the strikers to return to work or the company would be forced to close and sell off its assets. The union thought they were bluffing and ignored the deadline. They struck themselves right out of a job.


If everyone is thinking alike, someone isn't thinking.
