Talked to a person during Katrina working for the cabl co that was doing rideout.  He provided his own pickup, and pencils etc, and he said he was getting 60/hr back then. As much or  than coax splicers were making. I would sign on for that, and leave the buckets, fusion splicers,lashers, etc at home. Ask them if they want some more help.
