I think it's funny how everyone has a desire to do storm work. the NE is one of the most expensive places to stay especially after a storm. This job these days are all about NET. Yeah you are making decent money at best but the net is way too low. I was called out to do some insurance adjusting there and I turned it down. To pass over one bridge is 15 plus dollars. Finally after 8 years of loving the road I realized that I make more money styaing put and working harder.
I also love the post where someone mentioned that any monkey could do this job, thats the truth. Because anyone can be trained to do this they really don't need to pay top dollar rates. Wish it was diffeent but its not.
I think it's funny how people want to go up to the NE when there are several posts where guys are making 1800-2200 in several markets and not having to deal with the BS that comes with NE work.
