Re: Was the auto bailout illegal?

I like hearing both sides, even though one side is full of more BS than the other.
Was the bailout legal? Doubtful.  Will obama get impeached and would that matter?

The fact comes to this.  Bill was impeached, but never thrown out of office.  So
what difference does that make?

Can I hope Obama is a 1 term president? I hope everyday.

There's a difference of the right thing to do and saying this is the right thing to do.

For instance.  Health care.  Everyone needs it so everyone should pay for it.  Because it is the right thing to do.

Auto bailout right or wrong. cant have people lose their jobs, so bail them out because it is the right thing to do.

This whole talk of doing stuff for others because it is the right thing to do it total BS.

I grew up in california and everyone always talks about the right thing to do.  You won't fail any of your classes because the right thing to do it to pass everyone along.

This is why everything from education, health care and everything else is so screwed up.  Because it is the right thing to do.

The right thing to do is provide a little help here and there.  Someone looses their job, well help them out for 6 weeks.  That is all the time someone really needs to find one.
I have had lots of jobs, and the longest I have ever been unemployed is 4 weeks.

Of course now I am self employed, but the point is the same.

If you didn't bail out the car industry.  Do you really think there wouldnt have been 5 other car companies to replace that 1 that failed?  Organizations are full of leaders.  These can typically even just be managers.

Look at airlines for instance.  Do you know how many airlines there are? Some even lease planes to other compaines.  I know one company that has their planes on lease, their pilots on lease, their flight attentants on lease and their ticket agents on lease.  They contract with over 5 different companies to be able to fly the skys.

It wouldn't be impossible for parts to be made and have several different companies and someone contracting all the pieces to be assembled somewhere to meet federal standards.

The point is people need to stop thinking whats better for someone esle and worry about their family.

Just because I don't own a 4,000 sqft home and I am not making 1.5 million a year does not mean I have to have a pool in my back yard.  As pathetic as that sounds thats what everyone is working on.  Lets make everyone the same.

Heres the problem.  I read an article about china and the iPHONE. this article was talking about kids working in sweat shops in china losing fingers and everything else.
Here is the problem.  We have done a good job preventing that here.  China can do the same.  The fact that China doesnt and does not want to is the messed up part.  Heres the other thing.  China is far from a free nation.  To want to make us even think we want to be like china is insane.  They know it and it's about time we know it.  China has no problem giving us money, because without us they would fail.

We are their economy.  Im sorry but the government providing everything has not, shall not, and never will work.  In a way I am glad what happend to grease happend.  Because it gives US a reality check.  Do we really want to go down that path?  Or do we want to return to what makes us great?

About taxes.  They need to be simple.  They never will be simple.  Taxes control population and help decide on what people will buy.  If there was one rate across the board they couldn't give any incentive to say buy a house.  There also would be no incetive to get married and have kids.  At that point what would the GAYS complain about?  And I do get annoyed at that one.  Everyone is always expecting something for nothing.

I just keep reading these posts and man I almost reply and then go whats the point?
