My post said nothing about marriage, maybe you should go back and read it again.
Marriage is a human right, that gives rights to the wed couple, to act in each others affairs if one is not able due to illness, death, or absence. If a spouse of a married couple dies, the living spouse is given rights to the estate, and to make decisions or/and acts as power of attorney. Even straight couples that are not "legally" married, but are considered common law married, have these rights in most states. This is just one 'right ' of a married couple. Is marriage a right? No, it is a privilege, just like driving license is a privilege, does that mean we should not allow a drivers license to people who do not agree the ideals of the person administrating it?
