Channel Plan does not matter unless you are checking channel levels doing scans autotests, ect.  Baud rate does not effect sweep at all, it is used when you are using a serial cable to download graphs or remote copy a channel plan.  You need to check the downstream data from the SDA 5000.  It is a level issue or something is interfering with it The meter is searching for the data and freezes.  Is it giving you any messages like          " FORWARD DATA TELEMENTRY FAILURE"   You can go to the spectrum feature on your meter at the node, enter the frequency of the 5500 data carrier.  See if it is 10dB down from an adjacent analog channnel using the max hold feature.  Good Luck
