Thank you for pointing out my spelling error so I could correct it.
No the left does not hate religion, ( I do hate organized religion ) What does the constitution have anything to do with how far the GOP has moved to the religious right? If the far right had their way, we would be teaching creationism in schools, ignore science, reverse stem cell research, teach kids that the earth is only 4000 years old created by an unknown god in 7 days...and so on etc etc..
Separation of Church and state, freedom OF religion (freedom from religion preferable). One of the most humorous comments made by Ryan "We get our rights from god, not the government" If thats true, why do we need to have a bill of rights? No god gives rights, and religion should be left out of politics, if the GOP would stop with the 'god' nonsense, I might be more inclined to listen to them...if they had a viable candidate that is.
