WRIT OF MENDAMUS..........been done before! A superior court tells a lower court OR ADMINISTRATION to take an action they are constitutionally bound to do.
It becomes a long process where letters are sent to local state's attourneys who are ot fishing ... But it is in the law to force the cops to act even though their local bosses stress not to ...stress the issue.
The reverse does not happen. The current pres told the cops tp STOP pot arrests. The cops said F U because there is so much money it the arreas, lawyer costs, jail & prison costs......it would take an act of congress to get them to stop eating doughnuts and busting kids for pot.
