Re: Toyota Tacoma VS Toyota Tundra

It isn't American made, it is assembled in America. The U.S. car companies import a large portion of the parts. My Ford Ranger has a Mazda sourced transmission, many of the sensors say "Hecho en Mexico" on them. The assembly in U.S. is how Toyota and Honda get around import taxes, the U.S. manufacturers do the same thing they just say it is American made because they are based here. GM builds a lot of cars in Canada and does a PR spin calling them "American Made" not "Made in the U.S.A.", the Pontiac GTO from a couple of years back was made in Australia by Holden/GM. The Fiat Corp. sources parts from all over world to go into Chrysler vehicles. The world economy is blurring the line as to where things actually come from.
