I have to say is Whocares? mY 28 doesn't way all that much in the first place. Once you build a little muscle you can throw them around like nothing. Most days I can take any of my ladders hold it to my side one handed and still miss any wall or door I encounter. I thought we were talking more of the fold up kind weighing that low.
I have a ladder like the little giant that I use indoors. You won't see me outside with it near anything conductive. I think it's a great ladder. Just the regular one.
Mine is a 22' and I can fit it in a car when doing DSL work. Since I work on DSL from the D-mark to the modem.
I have had the fiberglass one before. Had it for 2 weeks and returned it. Thing weighed over 100 lbs.
But the point to me is the same a 28 is a 28. It will get you up there. I am more impressed with the rating on the side.
To me whats more impressive is my 8' combo ladder. It will get up to about 14 ft or go into an A frame.
