Is there a high amp draw passing through the node? Had a node that had 8 amp draw on a trunk and 4 on an AUX that I redirected power from another PS and it quit overheating. Just an idea. These things do happen. Someone else had problems with low AC at an amp down the line and didn't do his math and we had this problem arise from them trying to fix that. Bad piece of feeder caused the whole headache.
