Maybe not strange but a major pain in the ass installing on ships, we have done the USS Denver, USS Essex, USS Boh Hom Richard, USS Tortuga, USS harpers Ferry, USS Fort Machenry, USS Germantown, USS Guardian, and tons of USNS ships. All have the same problem someone thinks they know what they are doing and you have spiltters run everywhere with the shittiest cable/connectors imanaginable, a site TV launch amp that does not pass return, taps older than the hills and they want internet ASAP. Easiest solution is telling hem here is 400' of rg-11 with fittings on both ends, I will screw one end into the tap on the peir and YOU screw the other end into the modem on the ship that is on the mess deck. Have a good day!
