My dads brother (my uncle) was there. I went to visit him on his death bed (in the hospital) and they brought in a japanese patent to his room and put him in the next bed. When my uncle saw that, he perked up and started screaming "I will not die next to a jap". War is hell.
God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.
