Burton Island, WAGB 283 Wind class, 1946 era, way before the Polar Class were built.
Best I remember the first "Polar class" the Polar Star was commissioned in 75. But I'm getting old and forgetful and can't help the original poster other than confirm its cold! Sure its changed a lot in 40 + years.
