So I have been working for a company for 12 yrs. I came straight outta high school, $100 a day sounded great when I was 17. But recentlly a former employee has filed a suit for unpaid OT. My boss paid us by the foot and we were insatlling miles of fiber to schools all over the midwest but we found out that these jobs were Goverment funded to the company we contracted for, apperentlly we were supposed to be paid prevaling wage and OT after 8 hrs. in a day. long story short if this is all true my boss owes me about 4 yrs of prevailing wage and OTon top of that witch is about 2X my pay. the former employee has one of the best lawyers out of Chicago on this and I don't know if I should sign up with him to get this money or is it gunna screw me in the end and get myself fired.I feel like this guy is just walking on me and keeping the money I worked for while he gets a fat wallet.
