My parents spanked me when I deserved it. I never constdered it abuse, I knew I messed up and that was the price I had to pay. It was never done out of anger or hate it was done out of love. They knew that it would teach me a lessen in what was acceptable and what was not. Most likely saved my life from going down the wrong track too far.
