Re: WDM Combining

1. Single mode fiber
2. standard light meter
3. no filter
4. 1310 +1.98 dbmv, 1550 + 2.13 dbmv these are the same levels that were originaly set from the little documation I found. The only thing I changed was the 1310 TX before this started.

1310 comes directly from the TX goes through 2 patch panels and directly into the 1310 slot of the EVERTS WDM card. Light levels are good theough the entire run. But once it goesthrough the WDM card it drops to -24dbmv. The 1550 drops to +.98 dbmv, giving the splice loss of the WDM the 1550 is about right.

I've tryed new jumpers, new WDM cards, and get the same results. I have no prints and what I have given you I found out by tracing things out myself. It was in place and I was aked to work on it as a favor.
If everyone is thinking alike, someone isn't thinking.
