A couple of things:

The racist name calling is just garbage but thats contracting for you. I hate that contracting companies choose to put the biggest idiot in charge all the time. If someone made a racist comment to me I would have left that day. I don't know how you stayed at a job that they chose to call you a racist name. You have me second guessing if I leave crappy jobs way too fast? HMMMM

If you knew they were looking for something to write you up about why would you come in late? Obviously leaving turned out to be the best thing for you in the end but why would you giev them reasons to write you up?
