Lets say that you got a DUI like 20 years ago and totally quit drinking.
You now live a life of total abstinence from any kind of drugs and alcohol.
You really think that should stay on your record after 20 years and now you can't get a job that requires driving a company vehicle because of a mistake that you have clearly learned your lesson?
